What is the new catalog view?

The new “card view” design displays information more visually than the classic or list views and highlights key product data to help you process the information faster. The card view is available alongside the classic and list views.

Why does the AQ Catalog have a new view?

We want you to find what you’re looking for – fast. With the new card view, you start your search by quickly selecting from any of the super categories displayed in an image grid. You can also find similar products more easily by organizing your results by key attributes.

The AQ Catalog’s more simplified card view will also acclimate new users to AutoQuotes quickly.

What’s different in the new view?

  • Clean, modern design:
    The card view offers a more visual interface that allows you to search product categories and key product information and attributes at a glance.
  • Streamlined navigation:
    Products are organized into streamlined categories and subcategories providing you with the same search results in fewer steps.
  • Interactive cards:
    You can drill-down right from the product card by clicking on the highlighted specs visible on the cards. Filtering by key attributes also makes finding and comparing similar products easier.

With the new view, you can still search the Catalog using the Search Box or by category or manufacturer from the Filters Panel on the left. The card view offers you the same functionality as the classic or list view but gives you a new way to search, filter and quote.

Is all the same product information available in the card view?

The card view contains all of the same detailed product information that you are used to from AutoQuotes – it’s just presented differently. The product card will contain one or more high-resolution product images along with several key attributes like list price, dimensions and finish, alongside a summary of the product spec.

You can view more detailed product information in the card view by clicking right on the card. A new page containing the full product details will open. This is the same information found in the Details Panel in the classic or list view.

Will the card view still show me my preferred manufacturers?

Yes. All of your default settings, including preferred manufacturers, will be the same in the card view.

When is the card view available?

Now! All AQ users can access the card view by clicking on the Classic View icon in the Search section on the ribbon and select Card View from the drop-down menu. To switch back to the classic or list view, or shift between views, simply click on the icon again on the ribbon and select the view you want from the menu. AQ will open in the view you were in when you last logged out.

Do I have to use the card view?

So you like the classic or list view better? No problem, the user experience is exactly that – about the user. You can continue using the traditional views or toggle between views so you can work in the Catalog in the way that best suits you.

Can I still see manufacturer updates?

You can always view the manufacturer and pricing updates in the classic or list view.

What does the card view mean for publishers?

Our Catalog now boasts more than 945,000 products and accessories – almost 200,000 more than a year ago. The new card view supports more media than the classic or list view, giving publishers more opportunity than ever to help products stand out with an enhanced visual presentation. The card view supports more high-resolution photos, videos and more. To submit updated or additional media files for your published products, contact your content manager.
