AutoQuotes Appoints Susannah Albright the Company’s New CEO
Jacksonville, FL, Thursday, Oct. 20 – AutoQuotes, Inc. announced today the promotion of Susannah Albright to CEO. Albright succeeds company founder Kent Motes, who will take on a new role as Chairman Emeritus. In addition, the company has named Motes’ three children, Kate (Motes) Schmidt, Kent Motes, Jr. and Alex Motes to the AutoQuotes Board of Directors. Schmidt will succeed her father as the board’s Chair. Albright also joins the Motes’ family as Director on the Board.
This announcement is part of the company’s succession plan unanimously approved by its Board of Directors. It comes at a time of growth as the company plans to announce new products and features early next year.
Albright joined AutoQuotes in 2015 as Executive Vice President of Marketing. In that role she led efforts in customer acquisition and retention, new product strategies, user experience optimization, communications and branding.
“Since joining our team last year, Susannah has fully embraced my father’s vision for AutoQuotes as the technology leader for the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. We are confident in her expertise to help us continue to focus on both our core software and new opportunities,” said Schmidt. “Our family’s commitment to the industry spans 65 years from when my grandfather joined E.H. Thompson through when my father began AutoQuotes in 1990. We are thrilled that Susannah has agreed to lead AutoQuotes as we continue to serve this industry.”
“Our father brought Susannah into the company last year because of her experience with high tech marketing and product management, as well as her perspective as a small restaurant owner,” said A. Motes. “In her current role as Executive Vice President of Marketing, she has already made substantial enhancements that enable us to better serve our customers and strengthen our position in the marketplace.”
Albright graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics and received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She has managed products and services in business-to-business and business-toconsumer markets at Intuit, Lucent and Octel Communications, among others. She is also the founder of a small business in the restaurant industry and has consulted privately to high growth companies.
“I am honored to step up to this leadership role at AutoQuotes. The company has a remarkable team of employees that developed an important technology platform for manufacturers, dealers, reps and consultants in the FES industry. I look forward to working with our team to build on Kent Motes’ unique vision and continue providing extraordinary value to our customers,” said Albright.
