Using The Send Button

The ‘Send’ button in AQ can be used to transfer a complete copy of a project to your customer, provided they are a licensed AutoQuotes user. It can also be used to send a Quote or PO in .PDF format to a non-licensed user.

The ‘Send’ button is located on the project details panel next to the project name. It is only available when a project is open and not when selecting a project from the project list.

Clicking the ‘Send’ button followed by the ‘Project’ button provides two levels of functionality.

(If the project contains multiple customers, a window will open allowing you to select the customer you wish to send the project to.)

  • It can be used to deliver a complete copy of your project, in its entirety, to your customer if they are a licensed AutoQuotes user.
  • It can be used to send a quote report of your project in .PDF format to the customer via email if they are not a licensed AutoQuotes user.

Clicking the ‘Send’ button followed by the ‘PO’ button provides two levels of functionality.

(Note: A window will open showing a list of all vendors on the project. This window has two functions. It will allow you to enter email addresses for any vendors who are missing them & select which vendor POs you wish to send out.)

  • It can be used to deliver a copy of your project directly to the vendor(s) if they are a licensed AutoQuotes user.
  • It can be used to deliver a PO in .PDF format to a selected vendor(s) via email if they are not a licensed AutoQuotes user.
